Default Turbo blanket springs---where to buy?

I have a turbo blanket for my GT55 and its a kickass blanket but it came with thin safety wire and after taking it off a few dozen times the wires are a pain the *** to loop around and get tight. One of my buddys just bought a turbo blanket and it came with some sweetass springs that look to be about 1000x easier and better then this crap wire. Only thing is i cant find where the hell to buy the springs only. Anyone seen these? Or even if i could buy something that could be made to work.

I've seen the same springs my ebay blanket came with at ace hardware. I would assume most harware stores or home depots will have them in the nut and bolt section.

My original ones were about 1/4 x 3 inches but pretty weak spring. I went to a local hardware store and replaced mine with stronger ones. More like these:
