Another update.. The car was loosing oil pressure at WOT on some test hits. Oil pressure gradually got worse so I pulled the motor. I got everything stripped down last night and found out I put mains #1 and 2 on backwards.. Sooo new crank bearings once again..

I also got my final turbo placement worked out. These things will be getting a good shot of cold air now! I still need to fab up some intake tubes though.

I see your headers are patterned after the works of H.R. Giger. Excellent use of mig wire and shadow.

Love that movie! Truth is those are some very thick TIG welds. Being the terrible fabricator that I am, The welder was forced to fill some rather large gaps. I made the cuts and tacked everything in place but relied on a friend (oil field guy) to complete the welds. I didn't want to take the chance of them cracking as I don't plan on bracing the turbos.

Crank is fine, I'm taking it to Pete tomorrow morning for a polish just to be sure. I'll get pics then. The car only has about 50 miles on it with the caps backwards.. It's honestly a miracle nothing was destroyed.

Update. The 370 is FINALLY back together.. I stayed up for 30hrs straight putting it back together with the mad scientist. Turns out some junk got caught up in between the Pistons and wrist pins so we had to open them up to .002 but other than that no major change besides some fresh bearings. Track times should be coming very soon.

Nice! Sounds like me-I can only get a lot of work done when the babies are sleeping- so I end up working fro, 10p to 6a with no power or air tools .

I may have missed it, but whats your rear gear ratio?

Yup. Got off work at 4pm Friday, Drove to EPW to pickup bearings. Got in the car and drove 1.5hrs to HKE and started working on the motor.. finished at 9:30am and made the drive back home.

26" tire and a 3:08 rear gear

Thoughts on having them come out of the hood kinda like the IS300?

It all depends on the execution. If you cut a jagged hole and jam a pipe through it, then heck no. But some nicely tapered screamer pipes with a slick trim ring around it wont look to bad at all! Plus they sound mean haha

Doesn't it kind of tick you off when someone posts a picture of all the room there is under older American cars and pickups.

Agreed. I'm trying to find the trim pieces right now.. Not easy.
