Default gt91 smaller displacement or larger displacement

I have a gt91 and currently building a 408. I want to know if I'm wasting my time? Should I build it and see what happens or sell the 408 and build something smaller?

..... another one of these?

What exactly are you expecting not to happen by running it on your 408?

A lot of people have been telling me the 408 is getting ran down in the big end by stock displacement 6.0L. I've put a lot of money towards this build and don't want to go in the wrong direction.

The right combo with any displacement is going to fly, its not all about cubic inch. Dont overthink it, build your motor and let it eat

What size turbine wheel and A/R turbine housing? I honestly think the ideal setup would be an S483 bullseye with a built 4.8 and good set of heads. nobody seems to have built one though

You just need a bigger hotside and itll work fine with the 408 though. Look at Joses GT55's theyll work great on a big 408

I didnt think that housing was an option. I thought .96 or 1.08. Is it a t6 or t4 flange?

A big inch motor with a big turbo will make more power period. It's just in sizing and combo. On the extreme ends put a 600+" motor against a 4.8. Both with twin turbos, who will win?

Depends on the turbos.

Sized correctly a big motor will win every time, it moves more air. I know a lot of little motors that run good, but a 300" motor vs a 706" or bigger has the advantage given the right turbos are installed. It builds more torque and more hp,
