Default GTO procharger advice

Hey fellas. Been reading here for a while finally decided to join. I have a vy Commodore ute (identical to gto from b pillar forward) with a d1sc charged ls1. Makes 720rwhp, gets along alright.

Anyways, im building a motor at the moment, 11-1 comp iron block 408, ls3 heads all the good gear. Looking to upgrade to a f1 series blower and need some advice. Will I be better off with a f1c or f1r blower, to fit on my standard brackets. And what drive setup upgrades are available? Have fluidampr balancer, stock dia 8 rib pulley atm. Is a larger diameter 10-12 rib setup available anywhere with correct offset?
Looking to push 1000rwhp through a th400

Cheers, Mitch from 'straya

Sounds like your current combo is pretty mean, what are the details on it?

Bob at Brute Speed should be able to help you with you procharger questions

Mitch, with LS3 heads I don't recommend more than 16 psi of boost as you can end up lifting the heads. If you go with aftermarket heads you can run 18 to 20 psi of boost, as they will have a thicker deck. You can get this with an F-1A, especially with your 11.0/1 compression, although the F-1A will be maxed out. Eight rib is all that is available for the GTO, you could run an F-1C, we've done it before although we weren't running 18 to 20 psi with it, so I can't tell you if you'll end up with belt slippage. The F-1A has the same size inlet and outlet as your D-1SC, while the F-1C and F-1R has a larger inlet that is .25 larger, the outlet is the same size. I sell the F-1A for $2,928.00 shipped here in the states and the F-1C and F-1R are $3,211.00 shipped here in the states. I can get you an overseas shipping quote if you are interested. Thanks. Bob

Nothing too special about this setup, factory ls1, 232/238-112 @.610 cam, e85,m6,D1SC procharger, truetrac diff, twin plate ceramic clutch, 150hp nitrous etc

Ran 10.9@ 135mph no gas.

New motor is lq9 block, lunati billet rods and crank, cp forged flat top pistons, Tiebar lifters, ls3 heads ferrea valves etc
Custom blower cam

Braked th400 with 4000 stall on the cards asap too.

Really need a 10 or preferably 12 rib 9" diameter crank pulley to bolt onto my fluidampr balancer. Anybody have a source For these pulleys?

My radiator is pushed forward from standard so shouldnt be an issue to fit it in

You're probably going to have a hard time finding a 10 or 12 rib pulley that will bolt on to the Fluidamper 740102 balancer. That balancer was put to pasture by Fluidamper and ProCharger had to make a crank pulley to bolt up to the ATI Performance Products 918893. There is a ProCharger 12 rib 7.65" crank pulley that bolts up to the 918893 balancer, it is used in their Transplant Kits. I'm not sure how it would align with the ProCharger GTO bracket. Here is a link to it. http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-DC017...DC017A-012.htm
Here is a link to the 12 rib blower pulleys. http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-DPxxx...ATI-DPxxxx.htm

Well. They are bloody useless. This is the teply from them

you`ll need to max out andumF2 to make 1000rwhp
thatdumcomes with a completely different bracket, approx 3.5K for bracket and pullies
you have to run a cog belt for anything over 600 - 650rwhp
dum
