You get what you pay for (if you're lucky).

"This is the ultimate “bare bones” Plug and Play package for those who only need to control fuel and timing and do not need all of the extra features of our “Gold Series” "

http://www.efisource.com/shop/ls1-24...-play-harness/

That's essentially what I have now. It's a good system, and works really well. In retrospect, I wish I had stepped up to the III. Mostly for the data acquisition. It can even handle a 2 axis accelerometer; since I road race, that would be nice.

With power adders, the ability to trim fuel and ignition for each cylinder could be nice if you're serious about it.

I also enjoyed building my own harness. It allowed me to run the wires where I wanted them, and put connectors where I wanted them. Makes it a lot easier to do maint and R&R the engine.

I've seen a few people data log with the microsquirt and a lot of people are running it with no issues. Tho I have been trying to talk to efi source about it and they don't seam to like to answer emails yet when I email them on ebay they get back to me right away and tell me to email them on there site.. it's been 3 days and no word from them.. I'm also debating getting a tubular k member right now also but really wanna get a holley high rise intake.. would like to have the motor complete first..I've kinda been hoping a tubular k member would pop up for sale used and a Lil cheaper

i added pics of the car to the first post but here are some more.. sub frames have square tubing welded from the rear subframe to the front.. anyone that has ever owned a 3rd gen with ttops knows that these cars really arrent stiff.. well i can now jack either the front or the back of the car up from behind the front tire or infront of the rear tire and the car will come up straight across with the doors open and the ttops off no issues and only cost me 45$ in metal..

i ripped out the old dash and installed a 93 trans am dash ( i added a link on my first post to an old build thread i had of this car where u can see all the work.. )

here is my fiber glass WS6 Ram air 2 hood i picked up for it for 200$ supposed to be bolt on but im going to be using locking hood pins and zues clips

Not much to update. Did a Lil hand porting on my 317 heads and got my roll master double roller timing set in the mail. Got tired of breaking my cheap grinding stones so I ordered some tungsten carbide burrs now just gotta wait for them to come in. I take the motor to the machine shop tomorrow. Also need to call freak show performance about a trans and converter since Martin and I have finally come to an agreement on the cam.

Mine is under 25k miles. Everything got dropped off at the machine shop today. Motor, crank, pistons, rods, front and rear covers and valve covers. Motor got thrown in the bath as soon as I dropped it off and signed the paperwork, crank got cleaned and polished. Motor is getting the cam bearings put on on Thursday and I can pick it up Friday morning Al with everything else squeaky clean! Then it's back home to get new rings and bearings installed and paint!!

Well I got a few updates.. got the motor back from the machine shop and it looks great! Now I need to tape it off and paint the block which I might be doing today. Also I got my melling high volume oil pump and king pperformance main and rod bearings in the mail along with my double roller timing chain. I also ordered my transmission from FREAK SHOW PERFORMANCE and he talked me into a power glide and a 3600 stall.. I think I'm gonna go with a brian tooley racing cam. Been talking with him and Lil John motor sports and we have all come to an agreement on cam and turbo setup.. I'll have the s475 turbo with the 93 mm wheel t6 flange and 1.10 ar. And the btr stage 3 turbo cam.. so with the stall trans brake launch controller this baby should spool up pretty quick and hit hard!!! Might throw a small 75 shot of spray at it also later down the road.. depends how the car acts and if I need a Lil more push lol.. I'll be doing a cam swap on a friends gto with in the next 2 weeks and also I'll have pictures up of what's been taking up most of my free time along with pics of the motor and new parts I get in later..
