Default Turbo sizing for now and future

Hey guys, just looking for advice on a turbo to pick off the bat. I'm gonna start with a 4.8 Junkyard build (mild cam/ls1 intake, rest stock) and was looking at the TC7x units from Turbonetics as I can get a pretty good deal on them. I was wondering which would be recommended (turbine and a/r). I would also like to choose something that would work in a twin setup (buy another of the same) on a 6.0 or 408 in the future. Car will be about 3000 lbs and be a 6 speed manual. Looking for something that would spool decent on the street and make good power. I believe on the 4.8 I should be able to get somewhere in the 700 hp range and on the bigger motor with twins 1000+ hopefully.

Any insight would be appreciated!

For a single ideally 7675, but seeing as you intend to step it up and go bigger cubes and twins in the future, i would say TC76 (F1-68 turbine wheel)with a 1.15 AR housing. Swap to .68AR housings when you go twins.

Thanks for the input. Any idea what kinda power people are getting from the 78/75 units on a 370? May be interested in just going single with room to grow.

The 408 won't be for quite a while down the road. Still have the rest of the car to build.

How would the s475 spool with the manual with the t6 flange 1.32 a/r on a 4.8? I have a line on one of those as well at a very reasonalble price.

On a 4.8 with a 6 spd probably a little slow. I think a tc76 would be a good option as a single for the 4.8 and then add another when you go to a 408. Skinnies made some serious power on his twin tc76's and said they were very reliable. My TC76 currently on a cammed lq4 is super responsive and builds boost instantly and with 15 psi has been able to net me a 10.1@139 and I think it still has a little room to grow as that is on pump 93 and no meth and a very quiet muffled exhaust.
