Default Who to buy a turbo cam from....

Brian Tooley? Lil John? Tick?

Im sure you can't really go wrong. Ive heard great things ab them all. I see a lot of people using the triple 12 for their turbo. Id like to get a cam ground to exactly what I want tho. Who are all you guys using? My goal is faster spooling bc I'm using a T56, with twin 61mm turbos on a iron 5.7. LS6 intake, CP forged pistons. Forged Lunati pro comp rods. 317 heads 3 angle valve job, .660" valve springs, roller hydraulic lifters (or whatever is best for the cam) looking for 801rwhp on 15-18lbs of boost, pump 93 gas, no meth but it is intercooled.

Martin@Tick done my cam. Its at full tilt 21psi by 3500ish. I have a s475 on a stock (beside cam stuff) ls1. The turbine is the 96mm one also. Twins im sure would spool even faster. Heres a street hit in 4th I made Saturday with my cell phone. You can see the boost vs rpm in the video. Speedo is way off because of big tires.

If you pause your video right at the moment you make 21psi, it looked closer to 4000.

And by closer, I meant exactly. lol

Lol I didn't even look that close. But we are talking bout 21psi here which is right at the turbos limit. I think there is a good range to be at for response of spool and I like where mine is lol.

I'll admit I was wrong. I went back and paused the video myself. It is dead on 4000rpm at 21psi. But also its 16psi at 3500rpm.

I made 775 at 16psi. Pump gas tune and low timing. Just spray some meth to help my stock parts stay alive. I have no clue what rwhp its making at 21psi. It feels like night and day dirrence going from 15 to 21.

Meth will just help push further on pump gas. I plan on forged internal same cubes to go way over 1000rwhp on pump/meth. 750ish or so shouldn't be an issue on pump gas alone. Keep afrs in low 11.0 range should be fine.

Its one of forced inductions turbos and Jose said around 22 psi is all I would probably see being a cam only ls1. At its max.

I was speaking more in generalities but that turbo is capable of some very high PSI numbers. Amazing what abuse they can take

Yeah I know on different applications they will put out way more.

Op call Martin up and just give him your specs and wants and he can set you up with the right cam.

I went with Martin, on my custom cam. I called other places first and they were charging 20-30 bucks just to spec a cam.

There all good. Each one spends the time and will go over specs with you. I think it comes down to who you feel right with. Jmo
