Default How much power will Callie's ultra billet h beam rods hold?

Preferably I'm looking for first hand knowledge as to how much power Callie's ultra billet h beam rods will hold. I'm looking to make 1600-1700 ish. Is this obtainable or a death wish to the motor. I was told by the engine builder that they are proven to be good for 1500whp. Thanks

16-700whp or crank horsepower? They're a billet rod as you know, I could see the lasting WELL into the 4 digits.

PM Andreas on here I think he bent them or maybe the ulta x at 2000hp or so.

For a steel rod at 1500+ I would go with either a Oliver or Dyers rod. We ran Olivers to 2000hp with no issues and now currently run the Dyers rods in the Impala.

From what I know I believe they are rated at ~1500~flywheel HP. Then again there isn't many proof out there other than racers really loving them on those SBCs. Try contacting callies first for info. Otherwise x2 on Hellbents post^

BTW sick Camaro, Delgado sure does put his tuning skills to the test

I have a set in my motor and don't plan on making more than 1200rwhp, I know they're rate for much more but I always believe in having a margin of safety built in for issues like tuning or some other problem that could add extra stress to the rotating assembly.

He most definitely was not using Compstars on the promod, it was the new trick of the week stuff if I recall correctly.

The load that hurts rods is torque, so qualifying the rods by HP can be deceiving. If you are planning on racing I would choose the Oliver super speedway rod, they are a bit heavy but hold high load well.
