Default ? 's on 11/1 compression on turbo 408. need input

Still getting everything together but i need to know if 11/1 cr will be fine or not and need to know if changing my pistons out will be needed. My set up is in my sig.

Basically, i want to know if going turbo will give me another 200hp on that cr. I'm currently making a little over 500 to the wheels and if i can't get at least 700 then i will go ahead and drop the cr

It will make the power but also depends on what turbo and boost you can run.

I have the Huron Speed t4 kit but i bought a t6 flange and going to weld that on. Buying the turbo is going to be the last thing i do since i haven't researched very much but as of now I'm thinking BW s480

You should be fine. I have the bw s476 cast wheel and on the dyno on 10lbs it made 680rwhp with hardly any timing and through the th400 and a 9in. Not sure what final power is because we took it to the track and tuned the rest of the way. I was fighting backpressure which is something you might be also. Talk to Lil john or forced inductions on a turbo for your setup/goals.

Thanks for the info. Final numbers aren't very important to me i just want to run 9s with a t56. I'm knocking on 10s door as it sits now (or just go to the track in NM, elevation at my track is ridiculous) . If i don't have to swap out pistons to do this that would be great

Smash the boost into that high comp motor mate. E85 will love it. I have a friend running 12.5:1 and 50psi in an import. Happy days.

I'm running 11 to 1 comp with pump and met and make about 900. You will be fine and the car will be more fun to drive out of boost as well as spool a little faster

Straight pump gas? No meth or anything? What kind of timing are you running?

Wow i feel much better now. Especially after i made a thread to find out what all machine work I'd have to do just to change the pistons out. I know i have to change the cam but that's easy. Thanks a lot guys.

I have a build thread in my sig if anyone feels like following. As I've said in the thread in not going to boost it till i run 10s all motor but I'm very close so boosting it will happen this year for sure

My only concern would be the ring pack. With you running e85 11:1 is a non issue. If it was set up as an n/a motor the ring gap and ring material itself may become an issue.

True. I'll definitely take it apart and change the rings out and gap them right. If it were a stock motor I wouldnt care but I dont want to risk this one
