need help with oil drain fitting

Default need help with oil drain fitting

Im getting ready to tap my oil pan with a -10 x 3/8" NPT Screw-In Fitting. Can anyone help me with what size bit I need. Thanks

I would step up to a 1/2 npt fitting if you can

You dont think 3/8 is big enough? Its only a drain.

Get rid of it as fast and easy as you can. Not much sense in going -10 if you neck it down.

I use 1/2 npt tap with 45/64 drill bit

Ok thanks for the help everyone. Ill be using the 1/2 to 10an npt fitting instead.
