Turbo Advice
Hey guys, looking to get a different turbo on my car more in tune to what I have built. Here's the setup:
TMS 346ci Iron Block - 9.5:1 Comp
- TMS Cathedral Ported Heads
- 232/236 .625/.625 112+4 cam
- FAST 102/102 combo
HSP T4 Truck Manifold Turbo Kit
Currently: T7875 on 14psi. Car made 626/599rwhp/tq with 19.5 degrees of timing and no signs of knock, running good and fat on the afr. Didn't try to add any timing, but probably would have taken some. On 93 pump gas. 3" downpipe and exhaust, single Magnaflow bullet muffler in an SLP loudmouth catback.
The engine seems to have backpressure issues, so we're looking at moving to a 4" downpipe turbo and 4" exhaust. Goal is 700-750rwhp.
Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

Depending on how much boost you want to run you can hit your goal with a BW S475 T4. If you want to run lower boost levels and leave some room to grow id look at a S478 or S480 T4. But to be honest if your really fat on your tune that's where your seeing your extra backpressure because the turbo you have can make 700rwhp easily.
