Just waiting on the correct injector harness for the Holley. Then, hopefully a few miles on the streets for break in before a complete drive train overhaul. Hopefully it's here tomorrow.

Everything is in. Turbo kit, radiator/condenser, Holley...

Long road ahead though, to say the least.

I'll post up here if they don't sell locally.
Did they sell locally or are they still available?
Thanks!

Twin T3 is plenty for 1000 at the wheels.

X2. I have seen several dyno sheets that have been posted of 400+ cubes putting down 1K RWHP on GT35Rs and BW T3 turbos. I'm sure there have been plenty of others as well.

he said DKT turbos.... those arent t3 housings. they are larger than that.

Redline Motorsports is making 1250-1300 on the DKT 6266 gen 1 turbos threw a 4l80

Aren't APS manifolds have t3 flange? Anyway, I just haven't really seen any 370ci motors w/ auto and t3 turbos in the 1k rwhp range. I've seen 427/auto and maybe 6bolts set-up with t3's, obviously a high dollar big cubic inch motor with high dollar big flowing heads don't have to run as much boost as with smaller motor combo. I don't know, maybe I just have'nt seen them.

Not much to report, been way too busy with the other 7 bays to even look at this car recently.

Just placed the order for a complete Nasty Nate fuel system. Sumped tank, Holley 12-1800 pump, Holley 160 lb injectors, -10 to and from. All black.

MWC Rear end, cage and Jakes 4L80E should all be getting wrapped up soon.

I have completely decided on the 6766. Still have to fit the 4" cover with the Gen 2 6266, so might as well for with the 6766. I do not have any worries I will hit my goal. May have to get another engine, but I have faith in these turbos.

Just need to spend/find some time on the project!

no they are bigger than a t3, but smaller than a t4.

i know DKT just finished up there G8 kit. 6.0L on twin 5862's using their housings ( same as APS stuff) and on 9 psi made just over 700. i got to go for a ride. they hit like a frieght train... dam.

Now that you've jog my memory. I remember that there was a discussion about this years ago. I guess there should'nt be a problem hitting that 1k, especially with a pair of 6766's. I stand corrected.

I really don't think so, but this is my first turbo build.

I was able to get some time on the car Sunday. Got some more of the wiring for the Dominator wrapped up. Redoing a lot of wiring from before, crazy time consuming.

When I look at the car, it seems like an overwhelming project. Hard to pick a spot to start I'm just ready to drive it!!!

Well, I have a bay of parts to install. Pictures:

Not pictured: MWC DA LCA, MWC DA panhard bar, MWC DA Torque Arm, Viking DA coil overs.

Got it up and running with the Holley Dominator, took it out for a short cruise. The turbo drains were not adequate and I believe I smoked one or both stock turbos. I was hoping I could get some more seat time with the junk turbos before installing the 6766, but it's not going to happen.

Video:

That was the second start up, the alternator wasn't working and causing the surge. Got that figured out and the idle smoothed out nicely. Yes, the wiring is just laying around right now until we were sure we didn't have any electrical problems. Still waiting on the Street Lites, should be here today hopefully. These 5/8 wheel studs are no joke!

Still so much to do, but after the fuel system, rear end, coil overs and transmission are in all that's left is to get the new turbos in their place. 8 point MWC cage will be the last thing to go in.

Pretty sweet build man! I'm glad to see someone trying out those DKT Turbos on an F-Body.

So you already have the dtk turbos? I was thinking of doing the 6266s w/ an aps system as well. Redline has trapped 170 w/ their vette.

Turbos are the only thing I don't have. Have to build the bank account back up! MWC took all my money By the time we get everything installed, I should have the funds. 170 with the 6266 is crazy. My car is a pig though, I feel I will need the 6766 to get her going.

I've had a long conversation with Devin, I'm going to run the 6766 unless someone can talk me down. Like many others, I really want to see what these 6766 do on an Fbody. I haven't been able to find anyone else with this setup, just Corvettes. I'm going to neck the inlet tube down to 3" or maybe 3.5" going to the 4" cover. If the necked down inlet hurts the power badly, I'll run screens at the track or do a magic trick and fit a 4" inlet pipe.

Anyone think the 6766 will be super laggy on the street?

I'm sure they 6766's will be fine and with an auto....hardly much to worry about as it'll shift down anyway ?

My buddy runs twin 6766s on a 6 speed cobra with a 5.0 stroker motor in it and they are pretty much full lit by 4k in that setup. You should have no issues with spool time at all

I'm running a 378 cid with 6165 t-netics. The covers are 4" inlets but the intake tubes are 3" with a 3"-4" adapter. With air cleaners in place, full true dual exhaust over the axle, stock exits with mufflers I've made 1026 rwhp at 17 psi. '00 TA TR6060 6 speed. Its not choking out, it's not even trying. The 6266 would get the work done and be more street fun. But with an automatic and the larger turbo you wouldn't feel much of a difference in seat of the pants spool.

6766 it is. Order next week probably.

Pictures of progress. Working on it when we can.

We wanted to see the drivetrain installed, so we got this together

Ripped apart:

Tank straps weren't even close. Scavenged the shop for something that will work.

Holley pump mounted. Welded 4 bolts to the frame right there. Going to add some rubber to isolate any potential pump noise from resonating. The pump is supposed to be very quiet, though.

Waiting on a few fittings for hooking up the pre pump filter. 70 bucks for 4 fittings. Crazy. Will get the fuel system wrapped up probably Monday, the rear end and suspension will go in quick and easy. Probably 1 hour. Received the Madman 4L80E dipstick yesterday, Jakes 4mm thick flexplate should arrive early next week. Still need a shifter, if anyone can recommend something that looks good but works with a computer controlled trans. I really think the best place for the trans brake is on the shifter.

The Street Lites are taking longer then expected to receive. Even if I had it on the ground tomorrow, wouldn't be able to get any wheel over the studs.

Slowly...
