Default F1A or YSI on JY5.3

4th gen fbody. Any of those units good for 5.3 street more strip car full weight. Whats the power capability with that motor. I know motor might not last and so forth. If blows doing 370 or 408. Just getting ideas. Car will be M6 at first. Whats realistic 1/4 times. Thanks.

Not sure. Are the two head units physically the same size? Either will make more power than that 5.3 can hold.

Well, there is probably more support for the F1-A in terms of have a bracket and pullies available. How would you mount up the YSI on a f-body?

^^^ This. Isn't the YSI physically bigger than the F1A? Is there even a bracket produced to work with an F-Body with out having to have one custom made?

That's one of the questions I had too. I think it is physically bigger, but not sure. You just don't see hardly any YSI blowers on F-Body's. You see them quite a bit on the Vettes and it's pretty much the go to blower for the Mustang crowd.

It definitely would not be impossible. You just would have to buy all the Vette belt drive acc to make It work. Are you opposed to moving your radiator?

YSI is a kick a** blower I'm the one who mounted a ysi using Vette brackets. It's a awesome setup once completed you would be very happy with the results if you decide to go that route

I followed your build and was intrigued by it. Very nicely done, and it adds another option for the f-bodies. I like it a lot.
