Very nice! Just FYI they sell SS cast T4 merge collectors for about $60 on Ebay for those of us without so much talent.
Used one on a project, they are stout nice pieces...

Wow!!!!
Gotta admit I'm a little disappointed to know there is another TT GTO in the works haha....
at the same time I'm a little disappointed I didn't have some of the fabrication ideas you came up with as it would have saved me a ton of time, cut-off/grinding wheels, and argon.....
Well done. Hopefully after I finish this first project the skills I've learned personally and from my research here will pay off on my future projects. Some day hopefully my skills and collection of tools will continue to grow to build pieces like these... Again, well done.
I'd definitely like to be in-touch as you get to tuning and trouble shooting.
Unfortunately, it'll be a while as I've decided to go for the body/paint so mine is completely blown apart once again. On a positive note the rust removal is done and the drip rails starting coming off

Building skills and tools is what it's all about. My next project should be better than the last. I could pay someone that has way more skill than I do, and the finished product would be way better than what I could do. But the fun and pride of the end product is the best part.

Got the other manifold done. There's not a lot of room on the drivers side. Steering shaft, master cylinder, and roll bar compete for manifold space. I had to keep in mind that wastegates and a downpipe needs to fit in there somewhere.

Tore down the LY6.
Got pretty luck. This junkyard motor is rated for a thousand.
I had no plans on doing anything to the heads other than springs, but they had some flaws that my ADD couldn't let slide. Several ports had casting flash in the runners, and the back of the intake valve seats hung into the runner. I went through the whole exhaust port with 80 then 100 then 180 grit rolls. On the intake side, I blended the back of the seats and smoothed the back of the bowl while I was there. I only spent a about an hour on each head. I would say they are more like GM engineered them to perform than actual ported heads. I also hit the chambers real quick with 100 grit.

Lovely to see someone make there own Manifolds, great work bud... Keep up with the pictures....
BTW I'm going to use a pair BW366's but was under the impression the twin Scroll had no effect on a V8 as you cant use the separated pulses (Scavenge) as there on the other bank.... ??

I'm trying to figure out the downpipes. I need to order the materials by the end of the week. I've been wanting to try an aluminum downpipe since my last car, but the drivers side is going to take several sharp bends right out of the turbo. Everything I've heard about aluminum downpipes is they need several inches of straight to cool the exhaust before any sharp bends. I'll probably do stainless from the turbos to the frame, then aluminum the rest of the way.
After joking with some buddies about pie cut downpipes, I whipped this up real quick out of some scrap aluminized steel.
