I had metal tubing with rubber couplers before and swapped to -20. I probably could have got away with -16, but found a good deal on the -20 stuff. It's cheap insurance.

Very nice. Will the engine by modified at all? What type of power do you see it making?

Stock bottom end for now. Not sure on power. When pistons and rods go in it should make all of it.

Long over due update, and a few details I didn't add before.

The intercooler came with 3/4" water fittings. I drilled those out and replaced them with 1" to match the water pump and have a little better flow thru the core.

Kind of tricky getting this big I/C in the drill press.

I made some brackets to hold the water lines out of stainless tube I had laying around. Cut it in half and weld together.

The exhaust is dual 3.5" aluminum.

Made some hooks to uses OE style rubber hangers.

I started putting the factory core support back in and decided it was to bulky. So I cut the front of the frame off and made the core support out of tube chromoly and aluminum.

Loving this build. What size/gauge aluminum tube did you use for that core support?
