I'm looking at a set of 45* plug wires to clear my headers

I use the 10mm Taylor's in my turbo truck and Vette. But I use the ones made for 05+ GTO's as they clear turbo header and manifolds easy.

I ran taylors too with no issues at 900+. One popped off (my fault) and fell onto the header and melted it so now I have a mix of taylor/oem.

I'm running the Taylor 82244 on my GTO. About half the power level you are at. No issues, but I gotta say you don't get a decisive click to let you know they are in all the way.

Those ones hold up much longer than the 10.4s I got one use out of them then the ends kept falling apart. Guys run stock wires often with these motors and have great luck

Do a search for these. I have used them before, and I think they are horrible. I tried to remove them all to take out my spark plugs, and 2 of them broke and left the electrode on the spark plug. And I was pulling on the boot obviously. It just so happens that this has happened to quite a few other people as well. So now I am back to my MSDs and couldnt be happier.

That's what prompted this question, I was curious if quality was still hit or miss.

They're located 15 minutes from my house, so I guess if they fall apart I'll stop by and complain

Sounds like a plan. I still have the other 6 sitting in my tool box as backups just in case I need them.

I run the big 10.4 Taylor wires with truck coils. They are great. Been off and on my car a bunch of times.

Just for an update, my wires haven't held up well. One wire came apart w/ the connector still on the plug... just pulled out of the wire. Also, I have a weird misfire under part throttle sometimes that will actually pop and backfire as I accelerate.

I'm going to replace them with something else, not sure what though.

I honestly got so fed up with taylor, msd and other similar priced aftermarket. I never felt good about how they went on the plug. You never got that nice factory snap.

I went with factory ls7 wires for my truck coils.

My stock plug wires actually went bad around 17k miles. My 2" headers require 2 wires to be 45* leaving the plug not to touch.

I may try the ac delco truck 90* wires

I hate the Taylor aswell. Inhave them
When the wire is hot it is almost like the crimp cuts the wire when you pull at all and the terminal comes off. Its a damn joke.

The OEM LT4 plug wires have the 90's on the end, are cheap, and plug directly into the OEM LS coils. I used those when I needed a longer plug. Worked well. No need for an aftermarket wire as your power levels IMO.
