Default Rear mount turbo piping

We have 383 lt1 with a rear mount turbo. Currently running a t70 that is way too small so we are swapping to a 76mm gt45. We have a 3 inch hot side right now and want to go smaller to help with spool. We dont plan on making more then 700rwhp. How small on the hot side can we go with out being too small?
