Default On3 performance 78/76

I am thinking of trying one of these out on my junkyard 5.3. I am currently running a mp70 so this should be a nice upgrade. Thoughts? I know I can get a s475 for 639.00 shipped , This is 420.00 shipped and I wouldnt have to redo my hotside.

I just ordered one today. I'll have some dyno numbers friday. I'm currently running a 70mm @ 15psi.

I think its going to be the best budget turbo available for an ls based engine. The 82/75 mm exhaust wheel will make great power.

Yeah it was posted by one of the guys over at On3. Maybe it was when they were still testing them?

User JustinKP on here made 765whp on their old 76mm.

Not started my build yet but have most of the pieces together. Wonder what the size of this turbo is like in comparison to others?

They're similar in size to the turbonetics turbos, and MUCH smaller than the borg warners.

I bought a gt45 a few months back but this seems like a great deal. Space is not a factor since I've already bought the griffin to stand up but the more the better.

Decided to pick one of these up for my build but unfortunately my build will not be FI for a while. Seems like it will be a nice setup on a 5.3....cant wait to see results and def cant wait to drop this in my LM7. Mine hasnt arrived since I just picked it up but based on the pics above it doesnt look any larger than the Turbonetics T78..non-TC model.

BTW I am pretty sure the $650 BW S475 is for the T6 and its some additional cash for the T4. Cost and the fact that it is already T4 is what made me choose this setup though it will be overkill for my goals.

If I do decide to get the On3 turbo kit, that's the turbo I'm going to get with it. I think it work pretty well with my SBE LS1 and M6.

This question may be really stupid, but I'm still learning about all this turbo stuff, so feel free to scorch me if need-be, but this turbo has a 78 or 76mm compressor wheel, correct? You get to choose which one (78 or 76)?

It has a 78mm wheel. The 76mm was the older style that everyone is more familiar with. I wasn't offered any 76mm option on this when I ordered mine a couple of days ago.

Thanks. In theory, the 78mm will make more power than the 76mm, correct? Is the exhaust wheel 82mm or 75mm, or do you have a choice between the two?

Thanks for the help.
