Boost 5.3 how much power to expect?
I am working on a procharger build. Setup will be a 5.3L iron block 9.5:1 cr. Tick performance blower stage 1 v2 camshaft, Brian tooley springs, hardened pushrods, upgraded head gaskets not sure which yet, head studs, probably arp rod bolts, ls6 intake, d1sc procharger maybe 15lbs tuned on e85 , probably 90lb injectors with Lonnie's fuel system upgrade. How much hp can I expect from this setup ? Automatic trans (stock bottum end 5.3l)

I would guess around high 600s thru auto. But im a turbo guy so really not sure. 16psi yielded 775 with my mid sized turbo t56 trans on my stock ls1. Lot of questions come up about the 5.3s. Guy on here just made 800 on 15psi thru twins 60somethings. Every setup yields such different numbers its hard to know unless you find someone who has your exact parts lol.

L33 is not an LM7 which is 99% of 5.3s out there.

The only major advantages at stock L33 has over an LM7 is a very slightly larger cam and better heads. When you take the cam out of the equation you are just left with the heads, and a set of 799s and bolt-ons aren't going to outperform ANY of the other stock castings with a big cam.

My guess would be 300-310rwhp through an auto, and probably 530-550rwhp at 15psi. More if it was a turbo car...

Probably because an LM7 with the L33 cam picks up 10hp at peak and 14hp at 6200rpm. Apples to apples buddy. That makes the difference between a stock LM7 and stock L33 a little less when using the same cam.

Because the LM7 he has doesn't have a stock cam. Besides the cam, the L33 has better heads and a tiny compression bump. You aren't comparing stock cams here. You're now comparing a stock L33 with a cammed LM7. The cammed LM7 is going to make more power.
