Who's Running a 370 Iron Block?
How is it working out? I'm in the market for a motor and see that APE has a GP on both 347ci and 370ci . . .

Um NOOOOO id rather take my chances with a Iron Block over a girdle...... what does a girdle have to do with the strength difference between an iron block and a aluminum block........

I think he is trying to say that with a girdle the aluminum block wont shift around at the base of the cylinder bores at high horsepower levels. But I'd take an iron block anyday. It is just extra insurance for aluminum guys.

Hey Kyle, I'm planning on the ceramic coating, the ARP head studs, and Chris says the eagle rods come with good bolts so no need to upgrade to the L19's . . . that's about it, and the Incon TT of course!
Until I can upgrade my fuel system ( which is stock other than 42lb injectors ) I will keep running the alky injection.
I am going with the -15cc pistons, and probably 6.0 heads to get my CR down to around 9:1, and a cam to boot.

Thats pretty much what i did except i went with L-19 rod bolts for my peace of mind and the same pistons as you. -15cc dish, coated and 6.0L heads for 9:1 comp. I went with the Cloyes Adjustable Timing Chain Set and the JWISS Ketton C5R Timing Chain. I called Comp and they speced me a cam and i got the grind number for Chris and they sent off for it. I think this is going to be a pretty stought setup. Im shooting 600rwhp so i should be able to get it........ we will knwo next friday.

Kyle . . . I'm POSITIVE 600rwhp should be no problem . . . I got 621 on my bone-stock block with alky injection and 91 octane, so it should be a cakewalk!
