Default Vacuum line and AFPR help??? PLUS how to set the AFPR properly?

Ok I am adding a aeromotive 13129 and I would like to know if I should run the vacuum line from the back of intake like stock. Or should I run it from the vacuum block where I will have the hobbs, WG and BOV connected?

Its a ls6 intake with stock type return rails (98 vette rail)

Next would be how to set the AFPR correctly before running the car for the first time? Have it with Key on Enging off and use a pressure gauge on the rail. Then adjust it til I see HOW MUCH PRESSURE???????
Does this sound right?
HOW much psi is needed?????

I run my cars off the vacuum block no issues.

i run mine with a one way check valve, otherwise you have 3 pressure setting to worry about, base, cruising then WOT. I set mine at 55 base, then when i get on WOT it goes up 1:1

You can set approximately with engine off, and powering the pump.

But you're best setting base pressure ( no vac line attached ) with engine running.

Actual pressure is entirely up to you, what you think it may need, or what your pumps may be capable of working best at.

I always set them at 60psi while idling.

I run mine at 43.5lbs. You have to think about when you are adding boost the fuel pressure rises 1:1. The pumps don't flow nearly as much in the high psi ranges. The higher fuel pressure is a bandaid for too small of injectors when you have extra pump.

Fic2000's, twin 450's, -10 feeding e85. Idles beautifully. Setting fuel pressure is honestly just a try and see thing. Some motors like lower pressures to idle better, some not. Like I said most motors I deal with like 60psi or so at idle.

I have FIC2000's as well. I have a magnafuel 4303, -10 feed to dual -8's to the rails, -8 return. I wouldn't say its a try and see thing. If it's that way, it's due to not having the correct injector data in the tune. I can set mine to whatever I want fuel pressure wise and get it to idle with the appropriate changes in the tune for the injector data.

I also run my base at 43, Im near the limits of what my pump will flow, no way it would keep up at 58-60

Trust me, I have the correct injector data. I am not getting into this with you. I never said the car won't idle and I have to change the fuel pressure to get it to idle. I just said 60psi works for me and I will leave it there. I will stay on boosted lsx on FB instead of here, too many internet experts.

I'm sure. That has nothing to do with your wrong info, but nice retort.

Depends on your power goals and fuel.

An example that I know of is foose04's truck made 617/623 at 82% duty cycle on e85 with an 8an feed, dual walbro255's, and 58psi base pressure.

Why not just run a line off the charge pipe to your regulator?

Thats how mine is, pressure stays steady at 43 and climbs with boost
