Advice needed: Theoretical lt1 twin turbo build.
So let's say before I start anything I take care of transmission/fuel system/rear end issues myself. Assume I can drop the engine and bring it to a reputable builder (and ship the heads to Advanced inductions). I'd install the front mount turbos and piping myself. No issues there.
I'd only run 91 octane. Not interested in a 1000hp ethanol/race fuel monster...
How much to have someone rebuild/prep the block for the amount of boost/timing/whatever necessary to get a *reliable* twin turbo lt1 that still may make 500-600 horsepower? (I'd install it all myself again and tow it to TPiS for a tune.)
I'm not interested in a budget friendly naturally aspirated build or supercharging. I wanna play with snail shells and learn to tame them...

I forgot to mention: this would be the cost of both parts and labor. (SPECIFICALLY for work done on the block.)

Not true. Even heads cam LT1's make 400+ rwhp. My advice is ported heads, custom cam, small turbos like 58's and it would be an animal. However LT1's worked to get low 20's mpg's so with bigger cam I would not count on low 20's still.

I was pushing 30 mpg on the highway with my 97 when it was stock. 24-25 with a 224/236 blower grind/S and T trims and 19-21 with a 234/250 custom grind and a 383/YSi. 6 speed car with 3.50 gears in a 9 inch, full interior, etc... An auto will lose some mpg but 20 is more than possible with the right setup.
