radiator (before -20 fittings) from DeWitts

oem wires going back in last time fingers crossed

question of the day, anyone use one of these? is there a more compact offering directly behind the starter gear? (powermaster 9500 series) 9509 is the lsx flavor

What is the deal with that starter? Is it lighter/more compact/more torque than a stock on?

the external oil pump is mounted up front on same side, my oil pump has 6 stages total and it backs up against the starter. i am planning a pto out the back of the oil pump with a cable out the back to power a rear mechanical fuel pump.

the cable can bend some but the less the better. im not even sure if it will fit yet.

I don't know about the one for the LS engines, but I had one of those Power Master starters on my 13:5:1 sbf and it was the biggest pos. The problem I had with it was the option they give you to clock the mounting flange wouldn't stay tight and eventually the threads stripped out at the track. Again that was on a Ford application. Not sure if the LS is different/better.

I've used that starter. Do NOT start the engine in any way before you check the teeth alignment. I did and ruined a new flywheel. That starter was not even close to being right. I had to mill .060" off the mount before it would work properly.

I just installed a billet tech 250a version on my car. I was having charging issues with the 140a truck alternator. After everything was hot voltage would linger in the mid 11's while driving. After the install the new alternator keeps voltage around mid 13's. I couldn't be happier with it.

Any details on the alternator? I'm going to be running derale fans, twin walbro 465s, a2w IC, and meth. Idk if a stocker is going to cut it

Not sure what to say about this build. The amount of thought and detail put in thus far is unreal. The finished product will be even more unreal than what I've already seen. Nice work MM.

Check out my post above. I just installed a billet tech alternator. It was pricey, but worth the money. I run twin derales and a single spal for ac, twin walbros 450's, scavenage pump, meth pump, boost controller, wideband, etc. A 140a truck alternator would heat soak and would charge 11.5 volts. I did the billet tech alternator and put a red top optima in the rear with 0 gauge cable and charging voltage with everything on full blast is 13.4. Made a big difference in the way the car runs and drives, and of course keeps the battery charged now.

Ditto on knowing what it cost... I'm having charging issues too. Twin elect fuel pumps, two rad fans, two trans fans, elect water pump, intercooler pump, yada, yada... My 140 just don't cut it. :-/
