Default e85 and 93

So I'm building my first carb. turbo car and was considering my fuel options as I have recently found a gas station about an hour from my house that sells e85 and I was trying to figure out what would be needed if I built the car to run e85 and wanted to take it on a trip what I would take to get it to run 93 octane would it just be changing the Jets in the carb and running less boost I feel like it's not that easy so what else would be needed run 93 if I was taking the car out of town?

I wouldnt run E85 unless its readily available. mileage is pretty terrible anytime you start laying into it. I have quite a few stations within 5-10 min, so its no problem for me. Couldnt imagine driving an hour when id probably use 1/2 the tank round trip

Well I was more wondering if I went with e85 what would I have to do to switch it to 93 if I was going to go on a trip with the car?

As long as the carb is built to handle E85 (floats, gaskets, etc), its mostly a jet swap and slight retune.

There are thousands of articles out there on how to convert a 93 carb to E85. There are conversion kits on summit's website, and Quick Fuel sells metering blocks that have had the passages enlarged and come with pretty much everything you need (for about $150).

Converting back to 93 won't be difficult. If the carb is built to handle E85 it'll run the 93 no problem. You'll just have to dial back the jets about 10 numbers or so.
