Hey guys new to the forum, I've been planning this build out for a couple weeks now. I have a 2001 silverado ext cab with a 4.8. I'm planning on pulling the motor, building it, and putting it in an older single Cab. My build plans so far (probably missing a lot of stuff but that's part of the reason I'm here)

4.8 with aprox 130k
Arp rod bolts
Arp head studs
Forged rods
Forged pistons
Trick flow turbo kit (what size turbo should I get)
Built 4l80e (manual shift, or automatic electronic?)
Speed inc tu1 cam
Ls6 intake
Ls9 head gaskets

Plan on running e85

Idk boost pressure, gears, what to do for a rear end, and any other details I left out please inform me because I'm kinda new to all this.

I've seen a similar build put 900hp to the wheels, and with forged rods and pistons, I want to put around 1000whp, could I just op to boost? Or even do a 100shot for the track, I wana hit 10s with slicks I would be thrilled if I hit 9's but I'll be really really happy with 10's. Any info is appreciated. I'm about 30% motor head! built many oulling tractors but nothing like this before.

I would leave the short block stock. It will take a beating and I would just buy a 6.0 before I threw a bunch of money into a 4.8 bottom end.
