Default How many guys here have bumper exit down pipe

with a muffler on it?

If so what brand, size and any vids of how it may have sounded before and after?

I have heard many people staying away from straight dump because it sounds like a blown manifold on a turbo diesel.

Just wondering if anyone uses a muffler.

Have heard 4" bullets are typical and usually run the smaller 6 or 8" length

i built an aluminum muffler that blew all the insulation out pretty quick. im going to try different filler next time.
its pretty loud but it doesnt sound too bad. i drive 100% on the street, and quite a bit also, between 100 and 300 miles per week.

I know the laws are different in every state but I know that here in Florida you would get pulled over for exhaust out the front bumper.

Has anyone else had trouble with the police and a bumper exit exhaust?

I have mine going through a full size 3" magnaflow knock off. Its not obnoxious at all, never been pulled over. It comes off in 20 seconds with a v band and slip on hanger, but don't think it's a restriction in my setup so I never take it off (630 hp). It is pretty ridiculous without the muffler, wouldn't drive on the street without it.

I ran a 4" dump through the side of the bumper with a cut out the diverts the flow to the factory exhaust out back, i uncork it only when i want to wot it, lost 30% of my hearing in my left ear but it was worth it, people that sit on my left are boring any way...
