Default Which turbo between

Between a turbonetics 101mm 1.32 t6 or a Borg to sent off to have a billet 84 mm t6 with a 1.32. My motor is a 408 iron 6.0 ls3 heads custom grind turbo cam with a holley hi ram. Now a built t56 will be behind it. I'd like 1100 plus

Either will make 1100. Even the billet 84mm should make ~1400+ flywheel with the right turbine.

84mm for sure if it is a street car. You will spool a lot quicker and have more low end. I made ;your number with a billet s480 with race cover. Went to an 88 and didn't like it enough to keep it. Went back to the s480. To make 10lbs on the line, I only had to up the RPM to 3500, with the 88 I had to take the RPM to 4800. If it was more race I would have stuck with the 88mm

If I sent the 102 off to get a billet wheel and swapped to ball bearing would that make a difference on spool time

I'd choose a borg warner over a turbonetics any day. Just from personal experience

LOL the 84mm will make 1300, the 101 will probably make 2000. You were better off with the 84... Bigger is not better

What he said. The 101 is rated at 1800 HP but that's probably a conservative rating.

There are guys with 76mm turbos that have made 1100 to the wheels. You're greatly overspending and overthinking your goals.

The gent I bought it from had it on a 408 and was pushing just over 1400 at the wheels so I was just being conservative with my answer
