Default Shortblock options?

Looking for shortblock options with the least turnaround time. I'd like to order a shortblock, preferably a 346-347 with a stock crank to handle 850rwhp and sell my block, crank, rods, etc.

I've talked with all the major engine builders in Houston, just looking for more options out there. It's not my first rodeo but never hurts to ask. Car is a C5Z with a Novi 2500 blower. Entire car is built. Thanks.

LME is great but not so much on a quick turnaround.

Thanks guys, like I've said, I've talked to all the Houston builders. Not going to use LME for the turnaround time, let a lone the pricing. I've had good success with G&G and was probably going to use Hsquared(MightyMouse) here in town. I was also looking at the AES 390 LS1. I'll have to look at Thompson Motorsports. Thanks for the recommendation, where are they located?

Give Tim Griggs a call at Griggs Performance Engines 281-355-1320..He used to be a instructor at SAM. I strayed away on my last engine to a big name builder....I won't do that again

Schwanke is fast and good quality and shipping is reasonable. Stock crank, eagle rods, wiseco piston 6L gen 4 made 937whp on e85

Call them, don't try to buy off website options

AES is good also, turnaround not so much. Seems to be the way with most decent builders though.

I have a horror story about AES on a Mod Motor. They used the wrong pistons (customer didn't find this out until he broke one and pulled the motor apart). The skirts were hitting the crank on a stroker application, and they refuse to do anything about it, even though it was THEIR combo in the first place.

People make mistakes, but its how they handle those mistakes that I will pass judgement.

Just my $0.02

The last time I can remember AES being slapped around here it was a first person well documented account. Not a third or fourth person undocumented rumor. It also turned out that the customer was wrong and AES still bent over backward to make him happy.

Just my $.02

Currently here we are offering a super reasonable turnaround time on our standard packages.(2-3 weeks or less) We have furthered efforts to streamline our processes to keep our busy engine shop building the best. Our standard builds suit a high percentage of the members goals/wishes on here and of course we can do custom builds for members looking for something that's not our standard high horse power street car type of builds.

Thanks guys. Sorry, I've been out of town. Had a Thompson Motorsports 370 shortblock ordered last week. It was here in 18 hours. I'm going to start on the new build soon. Thanks again.

Thanks guys. Anybody pushing serious power through one? My setup is capable of 950-1000rwhp, and I have an unopened nitrous plate kit on top of that. The rest of the car is fully built.
