I see that you have ran the exhaust the same way I want to, what kind of muffler is it and could you do a sound bite please .

Here is an older clip of the exhaust

I ran 5" down to magnflow and 5" out before the pass rear tire. I would probably do 4" if I did it again. That would help with ground clearance. Loading on a trailer gets pretty tight.

Built for the street, no cage, etc... but I did manage to pull 1 pass out the back door, then had my wrist band cut and sent home.
Ran a few 1/8 mile passes to see how well the 3rd gear mod would work. Turns out it is flawless. cut 1.6 to 1.5's 60' all day. thing was dead hooking after a rainy morning waiting for the track to open.

Thats sweet that you got the slip. If you do that here, not only do they cut your band, they trash your slip, and kick you out and put you on the "No No" list. If you do it again, they ban you.

How much was your torque converter and any other info that you can share on it? I have never heard of a Hughes converter.

It was $1000 for the verter. Called and told them my specs and that i like a tighter feel for street. This is what they sent. Good luck

Really nice setup!!! Kinda a dumb question but- what shifter are you using on your 4l80e?

I have a '68 swb GMC /1998 gen vi mpfi 454 with a 4l80e. I have a column shifter and I hate it....

Awesome truck man. I've got 72 swb. Running the same tire as you. 4L80E. I'm thinking of going with 3:73 as well since your going 150 mph in third. You locking your converter at WOT?

No verter unlocks at wot. This verter wouldn't hold the power
