Default LJMS equipped cars Dominate NMCA LSX True Street in Indy.

Just want to give a big Congratulations to Dan Rensch and Shane McClelland for their performances this weekend at the NMCA race in LSX True Street.

Dan's first pass...

On his Second pass Dan was able to post up an 8.288@166 mph to leave him with an 8.294 average, which was good enough to secure the win in the class.

Shanes first pass was an eventful one.... 8.34@169 mph.... but the rear window blew out about 1200 feet.

After some animated discussion about the legality of having no rear glass in the car... he was allowed to run and posted up a 8.38@167 for a solid 8.36 average that would have secured 2nd place handily given the next closest competitor averaged 8.60's.... But NMCA reversed their stance and DQ'd him because of the missing back glass.

picture credit to Joe Weaver via Facebook.

To top these performances off.... these runs were also personal bests for both of them...

Big Congratulations again guys. Your averages were 3 and 4 tenths ahead of the rest of the field. I appreciate the opportunity given to work with the both of you on your cars.

Good showing for everybody involved......well,, except the NMCA for the DQ.

Am I wrong for thinking that was BS? The car has all the legal safety equipment .

Not only legal but drove over 500 miles there and 500 back home. Made 1381 Rwhp on Superflow eddy current dyno after swapping in John's cam. Went 8.24@167 pedaling 5 times out of the groove. at about 7 sec in the pass the big *** Chevy sticker blew off the windshield at 159 I let off for .5 sec and dropped to 150 then stab the throttle to the finish and got back up to 157. Every pass after that the trans shifted 1st to 3rd skipping 2nd. We suspect it has a slow exhausting shift solenoid as the trans has a 36 segment super sprag that goes into 4500hp pro mod Turbo glides.

That sucks to hear that they did that but You have to be pumped about how it ran. It should go in the 7s on a clean pass. Impressive!!!

Congrats guys. My trans went out on the last pass. Hope I can give you more competition next year as you swept house so easily this time.

That part about driving the 500 miles one way there and back makes that car that much more amazing.

Heard it having issues on the 2nd pass. Sorry to hear about you having trouble. It had the makings of a pretty awesome race with you and Lemay there too...

Next year will be fun.

Its running fast for what it is but I wannna win so I may need to step it up with a bigger engine. The sbe chase is a lot of fun but im trying pretty hard and stock48 just keeps setting the bar higher and higher. If the trans didnt let go it had a 8.3x but I cant see it going 20s with out running 30psi.
