TC78 what can i expect?
Going to be running a TC78 turbo kit. What im wondering is what i can expect as far as power numbers or track times?
5.7 LS1
317 port/polished heads
LS9 cam
3200 stall 4L60E
NA numbers:
330hp/336tq
1.50 60'
12.20@110
Again just looking to see what others are making. I know that there are a lot of other factors in both time and power. Thanks again.

I have the same motor, heads, turbo & cam, 3000lbs, powerglide. No numbers yet, but past 10lbs of boost it pulls pretty hard. Would probably do a bigger turbo if I was starting over (just for future head room), but overall car spools very quick and is a lot of fun to drive.
I think there is a 3000lb Mustang on here that went 150 with a TC78.

I have a tc78 on my 6.0 in my nova . it has a .96 housing . engine is a truck engine with a 206/212 cam . the car is full street car all steel . it ran 10.54 at 130 mph at 10# boost and 11* timing on pump gas only . with a weak 60'.
if you keep the cam small and the converter tight and keep it in the midrange they make good power.

With a 4l60 you can expect a broken trans. Lol
Seriously, I had that turbo on a 5.7, ls6 cam and intake. Boost would fall to 11psi by 6500rpm. Nice midrange, but that little turbine can't flow up top.
