Default Recomended supercharger for my set up

Never installed a supercharger before so I figured I'd ask your alls opinion on what I should put on. I would really like to do the magnacharger, since it's different and I love the sound and instant power they make. Stock bottom end car, studded heads, custom blower cam (have to find the specs on it), ported 243 heads, ls6 intake, 60lbs injectors. I bought the car set up for a blower, just didn't know if the Maggie would hurt or benefit from the cam and head work. Not really wanting to push a whole lot of power with a stock bottom end

I don't see a problem with it other than the cutting and modifications required to install a Maggie on an F Body. You can find out what is required by doing a search on here to install a Maggie as it has been done. Bob

I thought with that mp112 just dropping the k member would be enough. I just thought I get some input on whether or not the modifications for the Maggie or worth it or if it affects driveabilty with dropping the k member. I already have a tubular k member if that makes a difference

You can make it fit , but you have to cut into the K member and a little in the cowl as well. That supercharger is rather small however and won't make more than 550whp or so. If you don't care for high hp numbers and just want a fun car with instant torque, go for it. Otherwise you'll need a Centri blower or turbo to make big numbers.

mp112 is too limited. We just run a D1 procharger with aster bracket ect. Pulley it right and there is no worry on down low torque.

I had an MP112 /LQ4 combo in my car at first and it makes for an excellent street set up. Lots of torque, but on the back half it did run out of steam. Still a low 10's car though.

When I bought the car the guy have me some pieces for d1 kit. All I have is the j bracket, both intercoolers, and some of the piping. I hate to piece something together, and I was thinking a front mount intercooler would be better. I may even do a turbo set-up, seems to be cheaper lol

Looking for something good on the street. I mainly cruise around in the car and maybe take it to the track a few times a year

I think that Bob as offered to tell others what else they need to make their kits complete if it will save them some money. Without having a head unit though it'll probably be pointless.

True. If he could find a used head unit it could be worthwhile. Bob

Maybe I'll keep an eye open in the parts classifieds here. Seems like a turbo build would be cheaper, wouldn't know which would be better. With cam that's in the car now it has no low end power, it's all up top. That's where I thought the Maggie would be nice to make up for it

Buy my Maggie! It makes for an awesome street car. Instant torque wherever you are at in the rpm range. Yes. it's on the small side, but if you are not after big HP numbers, who cares. Plus, the sound these things make is intoxicating.
It's a complete kit, bolt it on in a weekend, get it tuned and your done. Never have to touch it again.

Doesn't the gto use different heads? I already have a set of 60lbs injectors, still not big on the whole idea of having to cut my cowling to get it to fit. If I could just get away with just dropping the k member a little I'd be ok with that

This is the GTO LS1 kit so it will fit any cathedral port head and any LS motor with the F-body or GTO front drive accessories.

As far as mods to a 4th gen f-body, I am not familiar with, you would have to do some homework there. On my 3rd gen LS1 swap, it just dropped right on with no clearance issues.

Forget MP112 & go with something else! You will spend all your time fighting high IAT temps. Mine loses 100 hp in summer heat. Plus why cut on perfectly good car?

It would be awesome to have, but I really don't want to cut my car and for the same amount of money I can get a lot more out of it with a procharger. Although the sound would be awesome lol.
