Default turbo recommendation

I am working on a 408, twin turbo build for my third gen camaro and need advice on the turbo set up. I have an lq4, scat 408 rotating assembly, ported 317 heads, bt stage 3 turbo cam. Wanting to run twin 66 mm turbos. Looking at the s 366. Any advice would be great.

I do like the cost and potential of the S400-66 ETT, I'm sure that work well, but for the actual wheel sizing you should talk to the guys at forcedinductions

Thanks for the reply. I will ask the shop where I buy them on the sizing. I'm more interested in the quality and space the take up. Most cars I see on here and in magazines use turbonetics or precision. If the bg's are good for 600 a piece I would go with them.

I'm planning to run about 10-12 psi & hopefully getting around 7-800 whp. I have twin Aeromotive 340 pumps and planning 80 lb injectors. 91 octane is the best we can get around here so. It's a street car mainly but I will use meth injection if I turn up the boost for a drag race.

A pair of 66mm's unless very low quality ones would be a tad oversize for such low power goals.

Certainly 366's would be big for those goals.

A Pair of 58-60mm's would do it and spool a lot faster

Are the be 366 physically larger than a comparable turbonetics unit. I would be mounting these in the battery and charcoal canister area in a third gen camaro, like the Hawks built 408 tt ta?

Just some info about my build. I live on the east coast of Canada, at sea level. Summer time don't get much higher than 30 c, 90 f. My goal with the car is about 8-900 whp as a driver .a 10 second car on a street tune , turn up the boost to 15-20 lbs and hit 1100 maybe. Kind of like the hellion mustang from horsepower tv. But mainly 8-900 whp. Thanks for the info.

Yes they are slightly larger in physical size than turbonetics etc.

But im sure you would be able to package them with careful planning

My S366 looks quite a bit larger than my 66/65 TN. Turbonetics did a great job of packing their 60 series. My 66/65's are almost the same exact pyshical size as my old MP 61mm turbos. (Small)

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll look for process on some turbonetics units.

What about a billet 259? Smaller than a 366 and it will get you to your power goals no problem.

They may be very good but this is my first turbo build and they are to expensive at 1500 a piece. I don't want the cheap Chinese ones but I'm looking at the journal bearing 6-800 dollar turbo.

60 series Turbonetics all the way. Not to mention they have a 1 year no questions asked warranty.

I would do the S366's. They might be a little over kill but a 408 will will spool them incredibly fast. And You will have room to grow.

And they aren't that big. If you can't get 2 in a 3rd gen bay, find a new fabricator.

What is your budget? You might be better off with a single 472 or something along those lines if money is that tight.

Go with S362's, 71mm turbines, .83 AR housings. No need for 66mm compressor wheels when your power goals are what they are.

Do the S366's... a 408 will spool them like a light switch...

I can set you up with a pair of them if you'd like...
