Default Local exhaust

Brian, pipes might be able to help you out. Its 35 min from your house and they might be able to custom all the pipes you will need. As far as welding the guy that inspected you car is a metal fabricator. He could help with welding I've see his welds and they are good.

Cool. Good to know. I will keep him on my speed dial when I get everything back together.

Well, I think I'm going to get the exhaust from ScottyWheels, and if it needs to be quieted down, I'll add some mufflers at the tips. 1 7/8-->2" primaries is plenty for my street car. The way I look at it, from last year, I'm adding 70 cubes, going to a blower specific cam, and from 1 3/4 headers, to 1 7/8->2" headers, then into a 4" exhaust which is better than before.

How much more HP/TQ do you think the new setup will make over your other setup? Who are you going to for the cam?

Cam is being spec'd by a group effort....details after the build.

If I stay with the D1, at the same level of spinning it, I fully expect to pick up about 100ft/lbs and about 50-70hp. So I was at 760/700, I would figure I'd be about 825/800 with the new build. Difference will be from 2500-5500 in the torque production, but how high it will carry the torque is going to depend on how efficient the blower is.

Well, my exhaust is 1 7/8 headers, and after that is still up for debate. Right now I think I'm going to use my 3" ypipe, and then do a 3.5" stainless works catback. It should be enough for what I'm after.

I ended up upgrading to an F1-A Procharger, and plan to spin it with a 4.00" pulley at first, which will leave a little bit left on the table if I 'need' more power.

I actually just dropped the shortblock into the car last night, so now it should be smooth sailing getting it back together.

Well, I finally made a decision and ordered a 3.5" Stainless works catback from WS6Store. Hopefully it doesn't choke the motor too much, and isn't too obnoxious at idle and cruise.

I went with the wide oval tips, but I have a couple other sets of tips I may do instead.
Here's where I called it quits tonight. Intake isn't ready to put on yet because of some needed spacers for the rails and throttle cable bracket. Tomorrow I hope to get the front accessories on, plus the blower if I have the time. Should be ready to make some noise soon.

Build 2.0 is really going to be a big change. Everything from the front timing cover to the clutch was switched or modified.
Ls1 to ls3.
347ci to 416ci.
1 3/4" headers to 1 7/8".
Single disc McLeod to a twin disc RXT.
FAST 90mm intake to a MSD 103mm intake.
D1SC to an F1A blower.
227/235 113 cam to a 235/250 115 cam.
Heads were completely QC. New valve springs, valve job, blending and chamber work.
Went to upgraded turnions, cryo and micropolished.
5/16 to 3/8" pushrods.
Went to the LT1 fbody radiator which is about twice as thick, should help keep her cool.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something or a few things, but it's been a busy winter.

Sweet build. Are you going with the 1st or 2nd gen F1A? Maybe you can add a cutout for track duty if not loud enough.
