Default What alternator setup help!!!

Okay so I'm having problems being able to come up with a belt and alternator setup for my lsx f body

Here's my setup

F body water pump
F body balancer
Truck alternator
No ps or ac
V band truck manifolds flipped forward
3" tall ebay valve covers

What bracket and idler should I run for the alternator??

Thanks in advanced

Cbrs, i had one and i wasnt a huge fan. Id run one, but i couldn't figure out an idler belt combo.i heard if you dont run an lder with no ps, the belt slips under high rpm.

The aei i havnt seen yet but why would i need a new alternator? I thought the truck and camaro had the same mounting points ?

It mounts where the stock a/c dose and uses the 4 rib belt. Its a smaller alt so it clears there exhaust.

Yes, I'm running the CBR bracket on both cars. 6.0 in the fox with the large 145 amp truck alt and a 5.3 with the smaller 105 amp truck alt.

http://billet-speed.com/gm-ls-lq-ser...er-system.html

Driver Side high mount, alternator only with factory water pump. Also works with electric water pump, alt driven straight off crank. We have a turbo LQ4 nova with over 500miles running with the electric water pump (pics at bottom of page)

Also, unlike the other ones out there with long belt runs do the alternator only, the idler eliminates any high rpm/load belt squeal. I have been personally testing it on my 940whp Foxbody drag car. Never squealed or thrown a belt.

Do you know if itll fit without moving the coolant sensor, modifying the valvecovers , or the alternator hitting the frame rail on an f body?

With the Corvette balancer and this kit, the coolant sensor needs to be moved to the passenger head at rear. It does not clear.
Since you have a Camaro/ f-body GTO balancer, the coolant sensor can stay where it's at. If for some reason it needs to be removed, the alternator will need to be also, to get to it. The truck spacing has no clearance problem since it is stuck out another 3/4".

I can not confirm the valve cover fitment, but if they do not protrude past the front of the heads any, they will work. Try a straight edge on the heads.

Also can not confirm F-body fitment yet. I know the strut towers come in a lot on them. Fox mustang, nova, s10 are a few I am 100% on.
