Default 5.3 with an LSA supercharger?

Hey just wondering if anybody has done this swap and what is involved. I really like the idea of a low displacement motor with low compression and a supercharger on top of it without having to run piping for the turbo, but I am curious if the intake manifolds will fit, if the stock injectors will work with my 5.3 harness, if the front accessories drive has to be changed out etc etc. I see these cores on ebay all the time for like $500 dollars and I don't know what else I would need to do to transplant one, but just curious if anybody has done this.

Thanks!

Well, you will run into a few issues. The biggest being that the LSA supercharger connects to square port heads on the LSA motor. Your motor comes with cathedral port heads. So, in theory, you would have to switch to a square port head.

Unfortunately, the square port heads use a large 2.165" intake valve, which is way, way too big for the bore of the 5.3. Even the "small bore" LS3 heads require a 3.90" bore, which is still bigger than the bore of your 5.3.

You would be much better off picking up a used TVS or Maggie supercharger kit that was designed for your platform.

Yes. A member on here, third-gen, makes CNC'ed adapter plates. He also offers accessory drive kits to get the supercharger belt to line up with either truck accessories or fbody accessories.

Does anyone know if there is a list of parts needed to complete swap?
