Default how much boost on your l33 block

I'm at 16psi and around 650 rwhp now but I wanted to try for an 8.9x so how much boost have you made? Or how much power? L33 only please. Even tho mine is only a 4.8 +.050 but thanks.

20+lbs mid 800s not issues pump and meth. meth issue killed it at 23lbs

My alum 5.3 took 25-26lbs at 17* for 8-9 runs before I blew a HG. Keep the timing low and crank that sucker up to 25. Should be able to handle even more with the short stroke. 17* was on the high side. I'd keep it around 12* to start with over 20 on mild builds. Then see how it acts from there...

Thanks for the replies.. seems like the blocks are the week spot but the head gasket become the problem.. I will probably get my 8.9x run at around 22 to 25psi I think and it should be OK for it.. if the gaskets don't hold I will go to 625 studs.. I run them in my truck at 70 psi lol
