Default ERL 427 and Y2k billet 88

I'm wondering what your guys thoughts would be about my combo as I am bad for second guessing myself. This combo is going in a 99 convertible WS6 with a built and stalled auto and a MWC 9". First off I received my short block from ERL, its a superdeck I 6 bolt 427. I have a Turbonetics T6 Y2K billet 88mm turbo with 101/108 exducer wheel and 1.23ar with the new Huron Speed T6 kit with upgraded intercooler. Martin @ tick speced me a cam of 235/243 @.50 and 675/663 with a 116.5+4 to use with my PRC 285 heads and stock LS7 intake. My worries are, is the turbo size sufficient for this size of motor? Jon at huron chose the turbo for me. Any ideas what this engine combo may produce HP wise with the right fuel system? I was shooting for 1000rwhp as a personal goal. Give me some ideas if I'm on the right track?

It will be on 93 pump and a shot of meth as well. I'm planning on it to be a street car with some track time.

If it doesn't make 1k I'd be surprised.

1k to the wheels will be easy for this set-up! The Billet 88 Y2K rips.

Quick video of the same turbo on a local car here:

I was planning as far as transmission and stall converter of going with a 4L80 with around 4000-4200 stall, with a brake of course. Does this sound about right to use with the motor I already have Built? Or would the alternative TH400 be a better option?

That's close to my race car and it makes 1000rwhp through a TH400 on a Mustang dyno.

So, your good.

I believe Slowhawk has been deep into the 5 second range with his combo at a pretty hefty weight as well for a race application. Not sure of his 1/4 mile times.

If I could dip into the mid 9 second range I would be pretty happy with my set up but I'm sure when I get to that point I will then hope to turn it up more and see what I can get out of it! Anyone else with a similar setup with some real HP levels or 1/4 mile times?

3450lb runs consistant 5.2's at 138 in the 1/8th at 20-22lbs.

Ran once out the top end on the first day it was out on the new combo
1.38 60
5.5 1/8
8.46 at 164mph

That was 93 octane and meth.

Our local car with this turbo runs into the 8's easy on low boost! I would love to disclose all of the exact times but he grudge races the car. In any event, this set-up will get you easily to where you want to be with a lot still in the tank!
