"The Bad Idea" Twin 72/68, L33, glide', MS3 Pro "vette" build.
Thought I would post up some pics of my new build since I started working on it. Car is a 1976 Chevette that I picked up off a hippy kid for a few hundred bucks. I've done a bunch of LS swaps and always wanted to do a fly weight car with a crazy amount of power. Picked up a L33 shortblock with one bent rod for cheap, a set of 243's with one bent valve, a pair of On3 70/65 turbos and a used MS3 pro box from a drifters failed 1uz swap and a glide. So it's pretty much a bunch of junk screwed together into something that should be pretty fast. Goal is 800rwhp and keep it under 2300lbs. Here are some pics,
Factory weight with jack and spare removed
Firewall cut out, engine set back 10" from stock, ebay aluminum motor plate, flipped LS3 Corvette manifolds, Schedule 40 2 1/4" hotside, Professional products "typhoon" intake and the on3 70mm forward facing turbo's
Turbo inlet
Hood shut
That's as far as I am right now, next up is starting on the cage and the cooling system, more pics to come thanks for looking!

How is the casting on that intake? Mine looked like ****. I started with a pro comp knockoff though, so i'm curious how much better/worse the professional products casting is.

The car is going to have a narrowed 9" with 28" long S&W ladder bars and qa1 coilovers. My intake inside looks like it's been touched up alittle in that area with a die grinder, I don't plan on painting it, I have a shitty orange Pinto with a turbo 2.3l that runs 9.7's@137 that kinda matches the chevette. Here is a couple pics of the pinto
I also have the "Vanilla Gorilla" propane turbo LS truck on here, here is the link https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...ack-times.html
Here is the wheels that are going on the car 15x10 and 15x4 US indy mags, I'm trying to keep the outside look of the car as 70's as possible.
