I'm new to the fi game, and this is the first time iv ever held a turbo in my hands, seen them on cars and own a 2011 regal turbo that's stock and bought that way, but it looks like the exhaust wheel has made contact with the housing. I order it from jegs (on3 70mm/96ar) and says it was use in good condition. This looks a little worse than good. There isn't any noticeable side to side shaft play but there is some up and down but I'm sure it looks like contact has been made. Judge for your self and chime in.
sorry for the title, couldn't think of a better way to word it...

Wait when did Jegs start selling used ebay turbo's. I would say your right turbine has kissed the housing. I wouldnt think it would be cost effective to rebuild an on3 turbo.

I don't know when they started selling used. Probley some one close to the company I'm assuming. Seen it on ebay and it was on there web site.
wish I just kicked the extra $25 +s/h for new. Definitely not rebuilding IL have it worse than before.
Is it O.K being it's on the exhaust side?

Did you pay with paypal? I would ask for my money back. I would not run it period. If you cant get a refund buy a new one.

Debit card. It says I have to pay return shipping and there was no buy back on ebay so I can't file a claim there. I will be raising hell tomorrow with them.

No it is not okay, it is out of balance now and clearly you are having some bearing issues.

I've gotten a on3 off them that was wrong - I just called them up and yelled at em. They emailed me a return label so I didn't have to pay for shipping.

Plus, if it's "not as described" you can file a claim through Ebay.

I think you just got ripped off by a scammer. .. would be my guess.

I don't think jegs sells used stuff, that would take away from there business. Maybe they were using jegs as a false advertisement as part of a scam, this why I NEVER buy through eBay, to many fakes. Was it seriously through jegs? Maybe new it was? Do you have a link to the post you got it off?

Does jegs even sell on3 anymore?

It was thorough jegs and they even had it listed on there website, only thing under on3performance. There Ebay store had 2 listed 1 sold and I bought the second one. I'm assuming it was some one close to the company owner or somthing. It was a used unit though, but was listed new on ebay, and only had used* replacement in the title.
They're paying the return shipping so all is well, still going to stick with summit for the majority of my shopping though, just personal preference.

Last time I checked, On3 is located very close to JEGS. Might have something to do with it
