Default Procharger race intercooler / Burkhart support

Will the Burkhart front bumper support fit with the procharger race intercooler? I've searched for pictures and old threads but I cant anyone that has run this combo. If you have had this combo, let me know how it fit or what you had to modify to make it fit. Thanks.

I'm waiting for delivery of mine (next week). I'll post up & let you know.
My Procharger Race IC is going to be tight, but looks doable from all the pics & measurements.

Is that 29.5" end to end or just the core? The bottom tapers bigger so wasn't sure where you took your measurement.

I used a CX racing ebay cooler.
Core Size: 24"x12"x4"
Overall Size: 31"x12"x4"
4" Thick Core, 3" Inlet & Outlet

^^^
That fits with the Burkhart bumper support, so if 29.5 x 12 x 4 is the overall specs you'll be good to go. I have a bunch of pics if you need.

My measurements were core only. The overall should be close to your specs.
I was hoping the inlet / outlet would fall under the chromoly bar
( not be a factor).

After seeing that pic ^^^ you'll have to do things different than I did. Doesn't look like the cooler has any mounting bungs welded to the top and bottom of the core. Also looks like that cooler is mounted to the frame of the car where the bumper support bolts in to place.

Here's some of my pics...

got mine in the other day and the intercooler came in today so I got to messing with it. It will NOT fit without modification. the intercooler itself fits just fine inside the bumper support. the problem is when you add the mounting brackets to the intercooler, both sets of brackets get in each others way. In the 2 minutes I messed with it, it looks like the easiest solution would be to make a slit in the intercooler bracket and everything should go together. kinda hard to explain but once you get to messing with yours you should understand what im saying.

There is a good bit you will have to modify that I just found out once I actually went to put it on the car. You have to cut a ton off the mounting bracket itself . Also, the lower bar goes right past the intercooler opening. I'm not sure if I'm just going to notch the lower support bar or just cut it in 2 yet. Talk about a pain!

I'm expecting my delivery tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up ... but its not what I wanted to hear. That was my fear, blocking the inlet/outlets.

The Burkhart Bumper Support just arrived & we were able to get the
Procharger race FMIC installed. Not too intrusive & yes it will fit with minor modification.

Bumper support needed some modification to get the job done.
1, The support bars were blocking the inlet/outlet on the IC.
2, A portion of the mounting brackets also encroached into the IC
( as they both mount to the original stock bumper location).

Both pieces are quality items & I'm very satisfied with the result.

In a nutshell, in an effort to mount this IC with this bumper support:
The mount brackets on the BS had to be trimmed ( see pics). The brackets on the IC needed an additional fabricated sheet ( bracket extention) to extend the mount a little lower. Effectively lowering the IC about 3/4". The remaining BS mount holes needed to be drilled/relocated to accommodate the adjustment to allow the support bars to clear the inlet/outlet.

In addition, the lower 2 dowel like mounts on the BS are not needed and would never fit with this IC ... so they were removed as well.
If you look at Conan's lower mounts you will see what I am referring to.
Hope this helps.

NitrOmm: can you take a pic from the top and bottom? Im wondering if there is any room to move the intercooler back towards the radiator, rather than dropping it down lower. Thanks

No problem. It will be next week before I'm back at the shop. You can also view the side view pic (open outlet pipe), notice that there is about 2" of space before it hits the frame. Seems that you will need to extend the bracket to make that happen. Not too dificult.

I had to cut pretty much the same you did on the bumper support mount. I cut it like an L and left the third mounting hole. I'm going to end up cutting the lower bar on the bumper support on mine and routing it up higher. I hate to cut it but I like having my intercooler up higher than the bottom of the front of the lower bar for protection.

Yeah I could see you had some room in between the frame horn. I was thinking that it would be closer to the windshield washer reservoir. I Was actually thinking about just cutting the inside frame horn mount off and tilting it a little, so that the bottom moves back away from the support bar. Do you think there is room for that? Worst comes to worst I can remove the windshield washer reservoir, but I wanted to use is it as my meth tank.
