Default Turbo help

I'v been searching for weeks on which turbo to go with and keep going back and forth.

I ready many good reviews on the on3 and then came across a few bad ones... Can someone set this straight for me?

Is the Turbonetics tc76 at double the price worth it?

Btw... This will be a 4.8l 350z build

I tried a china turbo......a couple years ago....and its still going today. Its a 76 . They probably do have more failures....but they probably sell a huge percentage more world wide too. It would be an interesting statistic for sure to know the actual failure rate versus number sold. Theres at least one company that wouldnt want that to get out.

Lots and lots of people run the On3 turbos here. They're a site vendor as well. Failures don't seem to be very common anymore, and lately they've started popping up with big power numbers and high trap speeds.

I also ran a china gt45 and it was very reliable. If you are looking for a budget turbo, that may be the one you want.

Well i guess i'll be ordering one... It's just hard for me to buy a "knock off" part... I've always tried to buy the best of the best.. But if it works and I can save some $$ then I'll go that route.

I'm sure it will work great for you, but if it did happen to crap out after a year or two, I'm sure you will have got your money's worth. Plus, if it does, you can just buy an expensive one.

How much power are you trying to make?

The china turbos do work for a lot of people, but no one is setting any records with them. If you push the turbo hard, it WILL let go eventually. It definitely isn't as tough as something like a Borg Warner. It will be way down on power, but if you just want to make a small power number and don't plan on really leaning on it, it could be a decent way to go.

My goal is 600whp... 650 would be sick.

Also... Space is limited.

I'm sure two of those will get you 600 rwhp, as long as your fuel system can support it. I still think these turbos can get you to the 700+ rwhp range. Pretty sure others on here have made that, if not more.
