Default Building turbo 5.3 g body Malibu

Hey guys been following the website for awhile now and decided to join. Bought an 80xxx mile 07 5.3 six months ago been gathering info on the site to do a turbo setup. Thanks for all the great info on this site! Only have one question at the moment, any opinions on holly efi harness vs having stock harness and PC reworked? Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!

Starting from scratch Holley all the way. Boost control, two step, boost builder, ability for tablet gauges, monitoring and datalogging everything, built in. I use the HP to save money. Just have to work around the 4 inputs and 4 outputs and no trans control. If you have an electric trans and want ALL the options, pick up the Dominator.

If you can spare the money, the holley is worth it.

Thumbs up

Holley is not for everyone, mostly because of the price. If you can swing it, you will love it.

Hey thanks a lot for the info guys! I do have factory harness and ECM but was trying to cut some cost where I could. Didn't realize it had built in 2 step that's sweet! And I'm running a Th350 so electronics not to important. Had one more question from you guys, thinking about going with Brian tooled cam any one had experience with stage 3 with stock motor aside from cam and valve springs?

Stage 2 is a probably a better match based on limited info. I helped test it.

Thanks I appreciate it. Wanting to run cam and valve spring in the motor and The guy at my local shop said I should run a 88 mm from precision, I understand how turbos work but not fully on the size I should run. I would like to get the most bang for my buck while still being able to keep it mild so I don't pop my motor right off the bat. Have plans of building a forged motor once I get my set up done and the bugs worked out.thanks again
