Default Turbo- Magnaflow with or without e-cutout??

I am currently building a turbo 5.3 in a trans am ws6. Just trying to decide if an electric cutout will be safe to use. I ready in a few other similar forums that people have blown engines running electric cutout from a spike in boost pressure with the cutout open? I for sure want to run magnaflow because its going to see a lot of street driving, but also want to unleash every last bit of power when needed. Any thoughts? Also if the cutout will be fine what brand ? QTP? Low profile oval or standard?

Just tune the car with the cutout open. If budget is a concern buy a manual cutout and remove the plate for tuning and buy an e-plate later. When it's closed you're likely to not build boost as fast and probably be down 20-40rwhp depending on boost level, cutout placement, combination, etc. etc.

Badlanz is local to me and is a good guy. I had one on my Camaro and with it closed it would be in the 9-10 psi range and open would be in the 13-14 psi range. I had a custom 2OTL setup with a Magnaflow muffler on it as well.
