Default ATI 8rib setup

I plan o. Using the ATI 8rib damper and pullies on my Novi 2200 setup . There is 3 different ones . There is stock , 7% , and 12% over drive . I plan on 16-18psi to my motor . Shood I get the 12%over drive . With that said won't that help with cooling too , it will be pumping more water since the water pump is spinning faster !

There are calculators out there that will tell you what rpm youll be spinning the blower based on pulley sizes. From there the overall boost pressure is determined by your engine/cam setup

Off topic, but what car will this be going on? Don't see any Novi setups outside of the occasional Vette.

It's a 1999 WS6 . It is a RMCR bracket that will fit a YSI or NOVI 2200.

They use the Vortech bracketry and the pulley goes on the front of the balancer so you can change the pulley without too many issues. I like the one Vortech used to provide with there kits. It was a 10 rib I believe its been years since I had one so, but it was about 8" in. The ATI balancer that your looking at would be for the vettes as they use the main drive to power the SC's. For and F-body application just get a stock size one and you can bolt on what ever pulley you want to the front of it. You could do an underdive, but I don't recomend it for FI applications as you want to try and keep things cool and slowing the WP isn't ideal for that etc...

RMCR uses two different brackets . One bracket is Vortech bracket witch is a high mount . That puts tg blower on top of the motor on the drivers side . They make make one where it mounts the blower low ( low mount kit ) in front of the alternator , and every thing runs off one belt . U can use 6-8 rib setup depending on boost . All my question was , if I use the 12% overdrive damper will it cool faster since it is spinning tg pump faster , or is tg 12% miner enough not to change anything.

The ysi is a Novi 2200 sl just self contained and 100-200 cfm differences. Not much at all .

Ok went to there site and saw the undermount kit looks interesting, but looks like it might work pretty well. So the 12% over drive isn't going to effect anything worth talking about. The water pump and altenator will be fine. Just pumping more at lower RPMs and under high RPM's it will just cavitate earlier than the stocker, but it won't be anything to talk about. But reallisticly I would do the RPM calculator on the blower to see what pulley combination will max out your blower so you don't over spin it. Or just see what pulley combination you need to meet your goals. GL!

Without a doubt run the largest (most overdriven) balancer you possibly can. Reason is that it will allow you to run a larger blower pulley to keep belt slip at bay.

This. Limiting belt slip will be the most important factor in pulley selection.

Using a bigger crank pulley will let you use a bigger blower pulley, limiting belt slip.
