Default If you had to choose between these 2 cams….

Just about out of funds for this year’s build. Running a 370” forged short block with untouched 317 heads, T4 1.25 S475 turbo. I run around 20-25psi on E85. 9.5:1

I have the Isky triple 12 cam. 212/212 @ 112 .56x lift. I know this is on the small side used it in my 4.8/5.3.

I also have a GM “hot cam” . Its 219/228 @ 112 .525 lift.

If you had to choose between these two cams, which would you choose…. Why?

Thanks!

Choose the hot can because I have been wanting to know how it does with boost.

For the sake of discussion...lets pretend that's not an option. Mainly looking for reasons it may be a poor choice... Not interested in the "there's better cams out there" answer.

The Hot cam looks pretty good to me for a small 6.0 cam. Lift seems a little low, split maybe a tad high. But I don't see why it wouldn't' be OK for a small boost friendly cam. Shouldn't stress the valve train much.

-thanks!

Would you mind elaborating on this a little more? A better lobe, as far as ramp profile, or I/E timing or what? Just trying to learn. Thanks!

I'll take that triple 12 off your hands if you decide to sell it
