Should I raise my standards for HP goals, there is going to be a lot of money tied up in tranny and rear end, motor mod, should I shoot for the moon?

My main concern is drive-ability, i love to drive my car everyday, so I don't want to sacrifice longevity and reliability for hp? I think there can be a happy medium?

By chance does anyone know if the gt45 76mm or 80mm are any good? For a cheap quality turbo i thought either would be a good fit on paper but cant find any hard data on how they perform.

Borg Warner s475 with 96mm turbine is $650 and will work great on a 6.0 with a mild turbo cam.

That 80mm option is intruiging to me too. Wonder how much hp it will support?

I have a billet S480 from Forced Inductions on my 370. I won't be running it max effort, but I know another customer of theirs made 1280rwhp with the exact same ci/turbo with the wastegate pinned closed.

Its just gonna come down to your own research. You can get as expensive or as cheap as you want. Im a broke college student so i cheaped out and bought a vs racing sloppy kit with the 80mm gt45 upgrade. I should be done by the summer time ill let you know how it goes hahaha. But anyways, just read read and read, and then read some more.

He had those turbos custom made so they were completely symmetrical. Normally, your compressor outlets will always be flipped.

IF all you want is 5-600, then go with a borg cast wheel s475. That turbo will take you over 700hp easliy when you are ready for it. IMHO twins become very appealing when you want 800+whp. If space is an issue, look at the Turbonetics or Precision 7675. Precision has gotten a pretty bad wrap lately but most of the issues seem to revolve around turbos other than their 76mm

As far as 80mm turbos (or turbos in general) go, BorgWarner's will always be the cheapest reliable options. On3 turbos seem to be doing extremely well, but i wouldnt call them proven yet.

Fuel: dont skimp on a dime here. Build it for 1000+hp and be done with it. Just cater your injectors to you power level/fuel choice since they are easy change and easy to sell. Id throw 80's in and they will cover you for a long while.

Do the Borg turbos fit the On3 kit without having to make modifications?

I would be extremely surprised if they did fit without mods. Borgs are A LOT bigger than On3 stuff. Never seen an On3 kit though so i cant give you real answer

I need to look, but I assume On3 has an 80mm turbo? Just don't want any smaller than that on a 346ci.
