As Jon stated it's a prototype of the current kit. The new batch of T6 kits are even better

I ran a piece of tape down the whole support and on the two sides at an angle. Then I took the cutoff wheel and cut the part facing the engine. I welded tabs on the end tanks of the radiator and made some simple 90 degree brackets to hold it in place (pictured on the left side).

In this picture you can see where I cut the support for the corners of the radiator. I also had to cut the inside of this lip to make it completely flat.

I can take more pictures if you need any

Thanks Ray, no more pictures needed; I get the idea. You did a very nice job making it look stock

Hey Ray, do you have the part numbers, or can point me the direction to where you bought the couplers and pipe to build your lower rad hose? That setup you have looks like just the trick to get rid of the **** flex hoses I have now. Build looks great btw!

Wow that looks amazing. The HUGE turbo looks so good up at the top man.. I'm impressed how clean you did the install. I really need to clean up my engine bay after seeing your pics. Time for me to get rid of some zip ties lol

Do the strange s60! I got mine from Carl at CRP and saved a butt load of $$$. I've beat the crap out of it and it's dead silent!

Man Ray, it still amazes me how fast you got this thing up and running. I bet I'm still 5+ months from even being able to think about even starting mine lol.
I see you switched the tanks, what horsepower goals are you shooting for? What kind of fuel system and injectors did you settle with?

Thanks! That's who I planned on getting it from. Maybe narrowed 3 inches on each side? 4.5 back spacing wheels?

Thanks! Six months didn't feel that fast to me lol. Owning a 98 car sucks (I know you feel my pain haha).

But I did undercoat the chassis in that timeframe with POR15.

I didn't have an hp goal when I started planning it out, I just wanted to trap 150, retain heat, and still drive it to work as much as possible.

The fuel system is FIC 1000 injectors (running them at 4 bar) and dual 255's for now. I have the parts for a dual 430 pump setup, I just wanted to run a tank or two of fuel though these old pumps.

Thanks! Radiator is Griffin part number 1-58241-XLS and the alternator can be found here:

I've received a bunch of pm's asking about the lower hose setup so here it is.

1.5" 90 off the rad - http://www.siliconeintakes.com/holse...-90-p-410.html

1.5" 60 off the thermostat - http://www.siliconeintakes.com/60-si...60-p-1127.html

1.5" 90 to connect them (cut one leg off about 2 inches) - http://www.siliconeintakes.com/dsm-i...ck-p-1161.html

One of the mounting bungs on the radiator was leaking (small pinhole) so I tore the hotside off it tonight and pulled the radiator

I'm planning to max out my TC78 this year so I just finished installing a ZR1 3-bar map. I was going to run a DSXtuning 3bar MAP like you suggested but he was out of them and I also like the fact that I can purchase a replacement ZR1 MAP from any dealership in a pinch for less then $50.

Install wasn't too bad...plugged the stock MAP sensor hole with an expanding plug and drilled/tapped npt fitting in the intake to run the ZR1 MAP remotely because it is a different size.

I'm not sure how much more I can get out of the TC78 so I'm also considering an ON3 / VSracing 7875 turbo.

I have the tc78 as well. Only video i've seen your car was doing 122? I think on 6lbs. Have you got any better times since than? If so what else have you done and how much boost are you running?

133 mph at 14-14.5 psi is my best to date.

The only other mod (from 6psi to 14 psi) was switching to a return style fuel system and a single Walbro 400. Oh, and spraying meth

This year I plan to turn it up until I stop gaining mph

Great trap speed that is moving! I think what you did this past season will be my goal for when the track opens back up in march. I would like to run 10's with a 130 or higher trap speed. I also think I might slap a methanol kit on it. I'm still running stock compression so I think 12-13lbs should get me solid 10's around 130. What methanol kit are you running?

Waiting on my kit to come in and this radiator info is extremely helpful. Thanks for sharing! Are you using the PCV style catch can?

I like that map sensor location. Your car would be the perfect test subject to compare the two. I don't think the On3 version is as good as the Turbonetics 7875, but it would interesting to see if it picks up any power over the TC78.

Yes, I'm using the PCV style catch can.

Successful first drive yesterday! Hope to have it on the dyno within the next week or so.
