Smile Mid mount turbo questions 04 silverado

Hey guys I'm new to turbos and I am looking to boost my 2004 silverado with an lm7, for what it's worth it's a 4wd. I was going to do a under the hood turbo but it sounds like I would have to relocate my alternator and lose my a/c neither of which I would be to stoked about. So I have decided to go mid mount right after my factory Y pipe, I plan on using a t70 turbo things I need to know are piping size, inter cooler size is the exhaust up to the turbo to big or to small etc, my motor is stock and only plan on running about 8 psi for the time being. Eventually I plan on building my truck into a full blown pre runner and plan on hitting numbers near 700hp but that's in a few years and as of right now I am as green as it gets to turbo's, I know how they work and what they do but that's about it!
Thanks, sean 😃

Look into huron speed, they have a hotside kit and i dont think you would have to relocate anything. Also, just start reading through forums, there have been a ton of silverado builds. Good luck!

MID mounted behind the cab is a great location IMO. Hotside woudln't be much longer than some "front mounted" kits. Use the original factory exhaust system to make the hotside piping. It's plenty large and small piping will help the turbo spool quickly. I would come of the factory "Y" right into a T4 turbo. If you run water/meth injection with a decent 71-75mm turbo you don't need an intercooler at 8lbs IMO. Exh after the turbo would most likely be 3". Doesnt' need to be larger for your goals.

You may also want to look into the KB Racing kit as well. Looks like a high quality kit and well engineered as well.
