Best street/strip tire? 15in. rim
I know this may have been asked alot, but for a 8-900whp car what tires are best on the track that are also street worthy?
BTW, this is on a 15inch rim and looking for a 28inch tall tire..
I currently have ran qtp's which harden up waaaay to quick on the street, and then m&h's which worked very well for me.. Ive also seen stangkilr on his 4th gen and 5th gen used nt555r's which i did use on my 18inch rims and dead hooked 550whp... so ive been considering those?? but idk how theyll be on the track because i launch off a transbrake...
thanks for any input for someone thats tried mannny tires and found a good one to hook up high hp on the street, and still be managable on the track.

I street drove my MT ET's all the time. Now I have MT Pro's and street drive on those although I won't drive it much if it's raining out. If anything, pick up a cheap set of rear 15's and use those for track only. Takes what 10-15 minutes to change out the rears?

MT ET Streets get my vote. I've had them hook on the street so hard from a 30 roll it felt like I got rear ended by a train. Haven't used the Pros yet but I seriously doubt I would be disappointed.

You won't beat the mt radial on the street for rolling traction. They just don't last very long at high power levels even if you limit the spin. But they will hook that is for sure

I've used both the ET Pro's and 555r's on the street and the track. For street driving I actually preferred the 555r. They felt a bit more stable and actually did pretty well for traction. The pro edged them out slightly on the street, but at the track there is no comparison. I went from consistent low 1.3 60's to inconsistent 1.7-1.9 with the 555s @ 3900 lbs. Cut weight to 3640 and the car went a bunch of 1.2 60's with a best of 1.22 on the pro. Great tire. I'm curious if the new 325 ET Street R that they say is comparable in design and material to the 275 pro will work any better....

appreciate the input, yeah the mt's seem to be the best for street that will still work at the track, but would you say they wear the same a qtp does?
Also incase it helps, ill probly be lookin at around 850whp and seein boost around 3-3500rpm to 6500-7k auto car
lookin to be usefull on the street, and then be able to pull a 1.4 at the track

my buddy hassa turbo fox and hates the et pro's, just talked to him today.. seems like everyone has different luck with tires.. whats the tire that will hook the best on the street! not street outlaws doin burnouts but i mean doin like a 40 roll and sticking, and actually lasting a while, i think ima stay away from bias ply as theyre just totally not constructed for the street

Any drag radial tire should stick at 40 mph. If it doesn't you either need to get off the sand or change your suspension. I had a set of stock rims with 7 or 8 year old 245 kumho tires and those would stick from a 40 roll at ~800 hp. If your buddy hates the pro because he can't stick them he has got other problems. If I were you I would probably just go with the regular et street radial in whatever size fits your car.
